Common Sewer Issues

1. Broken, cracked, offset, or collapsed pipes - This is usually caused by shifting soil, frozen ground, settling, etc.
   
2. Blockage - This could be grease build-up or a foreign object that is restricting or inhibiting proper flow and even the cleaning of the line.
   
3. Corrosion - The pipe could have simply fallen apart due to deterioration which now restricts the flow.
   
4. Bellied pipe - A section of the pipe could have sunk due to ground or soil conditions. This creates a valley that collects waste.
   
5. Leaking joints - The seals between sections of the pipe have broken or come apart allowing water to escape.
   
6. Root infiltration - Roots from trees or shrubs have entered the sewer line, preventing normal cleaning of the sewer and may have damaged the line.
